Instagram has no export button for a single chat (its data download is a full account archive), so this Instagram DM analyzer works from screenshots. Red Flag: Cringe Chat Analyzer on iPhone takes up to 15 screenshots of a DM conversation and reads it: interest level for both of you, red flags with how serious each is, the pattern behind them and what to do next. It never asks for your Instagram login.
Half of modern flirting happens in Instagram DMs: a story reply, a meme, a "haha" that might mean everything or nothing. The conversation is right there, but reading it from the inside is the hard part.
Screenshots, never your Instagram password
Any tool that asks you to log in with your Instagram account to "analyze your DMs" gets access to every conversation you have, not just the one you care about. Don't give it. A screenshot shows exactly what you choose and nothing else. This app only reads the screenshots you pick from your photo library; it has no way into your Instagram.
What the read shows
- A verdict: one honest line on where this stands.
- Interest level for each of you, side by side, and a compatibility score.
- Red flags, each with context from the chat and how serious it is.
- The pattern you two fall into and each person's attachment style.
- What to do next, with a suggested reply.
- The numbers from the screenshots: who writes more and how long the messages are.
From screenshots, counts come only from the messages you captured, and timing (who starts, reply speed) is estimated from what's visible. For a counted read of every message, a WhatsApp chat can be exported whole.
How many screenshots, and in what order
- Open the DM conversation and scroll to where you want the read to start.
- Take screenshots on the way down, with a little overlap between them so no message is skipped. Up to 15.
- In the app, pick the screenshots from your photo library, oldest first.
More screenshots give a fuller read. A handful of messages shows a mood; weeks of messages show a pattern.
Snapchat and iMessage
The same works for any app with a chat on screen: Snapchat, iMessage, Messenger, Tinder, Hinge or Bumble. Keep in mind that Snapchat tells the other person when you screenshot a chat. iMessage has no export button either, so screenshots are the way there too.
