To see who sends the most messages in a WhatsApp group, export the group chat (Without Media) and share it to Red Flag: Cringe Chat Analyzer on iPhone. It counts every message per person into a leaderboard, picks awards like the night owl and the ghost from the numbers, and writes a read of the group: a title for each member, the line of the group and what the group should do now.
Every group has someone who carries it, someone who only reacts with a sticker, and someone who replies at 3 a.m. You already know who. The numbers just make it official.
What you see for a group
- The group at a glance: its vibe in one line, how many people, how many messages and over how many days.
- The leaderboard: every member with their message count, most first, your row marked, and a one-line title for each person.
- The awards: the night owl (most messages between midnight and 5 a.m.), the ghost, the most voice notes, the most emojis, the most photos and videos, the longest messages, the one who starts everything, the fastest and the slowest to reply. An award only appears when someone clearly wins it.
- The line of the group: the one message that sums the group up.
- What this group says: its most-used words.
- When it happens: a calendar of when the group is busy.
- What now: a suggestion for the group.
The counts, the awards and the calendar are counted from every message. The titles, the vibe, the line of the group and the suggestion are written by the AI from the chat.
How to export a WhatsApp group chat
- Open the group in WhatsApp and tap the group's name at the top.
- Scroll down, tap Export Chat and choose Without Media.
- Pick Chat Analyzer in the share sheet. The group opens in the app.
Nobody in the group is notified, and nothing in the group changes. On Android the export is under ⋮ › More › Export chat, but the app itself runs on iPhone only. More detail is in our WhatsApp guide.
Group stats vs a read of the group
A message count tells you who talks the most. It doesn't tell you who holds the group together, who only shows up when there's drama, or why the chat went quiet in March. That part is the read: a title for each member based on what they actually write, the line that sums the group up, and a suggestion for what the group should do now.
For two people, the one-to-one read goes deeper: interest level, red flags and attachment style for each of you.
Screenshots of other group chats
Instagram, iMessage, Messenger and Snapchat have no export button for a group chat like WhatsApp's, so upload screenshots instead, up to 15. The read works the same way, but the counts come only from the messages on the screenshots and timing is estimated, so for a group you can export, use the export.
Privacy when the chat has many people in it
Everyone in a group wrote those messages, so treat the result with care. The chat is processed for the read and the uploaded copy is deleted right after; your result stays on your iPhone, and nothing is ever posted to the group. If you share the result link, everyone named in it will see their numbers, so ask the group before you drop it in the chat. The details are in the privacy policy.
Price
The app is free to download, and a WhatsApp group export shows its real leaderboard counts, awards and calendar before you pay. The written read is $1.99 for that chat, once, or comes with a subscription ($8.99 a week or $34.99 a year). US prices on the App Store in November 2026; the App Store shows the price in your country.
