Tinder, Hinge and Bumble have no export button for a chat, but screenshots work. Upload up to 15 screenshots of a match conversation to Red Flag: Cringe Chat Analyzer on iPhone and get an honest read: interest level for both of you, red flags with how serious each is, and what to do next, with a suggested reply. It reads the chat; it doesn't write your openers.
A match chat is short and full of signals: how fast they answer, whether they ask anything back, whether "we should grab a drink" ever gets a day attached. Reading it while you're in it is the hard part.
No export button on dating apps: screenshots work
- Open the match conversation and scroll to where it started.
- Take screenshots on the way down, with a little overlap so no message is skipped. Up to 15.
- Pick them in the app, oldest first, and say which side is you.
The same works for any dating app with a chat on screen. If the conversation has moved to WhatsApp, export it instead: then every message and timestamp is counted. That's covered on the WhatsApp chat analyzer page.
What it reads from a match chat
- A verdict: one honest line on where this is going.
- Interest level for each of you, side by side.
- Red flags, each with context from the chat and how serious it is.
- The pattern you two fall into and each person's attachment style.
- What to do next, with a suggested reply.
- The numbers from the screenshots: who writes more and how long the messages are. Timing is estimated from what's on screen.
Signs a match is losing interest
- Fewer questions. They answer yours but stop asking any.
- Shorter replies. Full sentences turn into "haha" and "yeah".
- Slower replies. Not one slow day, but a gap that keeps growing.
- No plan. "We should hang out" never gets a day or a place.
- You restart every conversation. When you stop, the chat stops.
One of these is a mood. Three at once, for a week or more, is a pattern. More on that in how to tell if someone likes you over text.
An analyzer, not a reply generator
Most AI dating tools write messages for you: openers, comebacks, "rizz". The dating apps are adding their own AI features too. This does something else: it reads the conversation you already have and tells you how it's going. You get a suggested reply at the end, but the point is knowing whether to send one.
From chat to first date
A match chat has a shelf life. If the interest looks even and the conversation is easy, the next step is usually the obvious one: suggest a specific day and place. If the interest looks one-sided, the read says so, which can save you a week of waiting for a reply that isn't coming.
